Naaivedh
Building a premium visual identity for a traditional Indian sweet brand through logo design, patterns, colour, and packaging inspired by modern-day royalty.

Overview
Naaivedh is a traditional Indian sweet and dry-fruit brand looking to build a premium identity as it expanded from dry fruits into sweets and other offerings.
Naaivedh wanted to create a visual identity that felt rooted in Indian tradition while presenting the brand with a contemporary, premium character. The brief called for a sense of modern-day royalty, supported by pastel colours and royal-inspired patterns, while deliberately avoiding commonly used animal or bird motifs.
The project evolved from exploring multiple logo directions into a complete visual identity system, including the primary logo, monogram, patterns, colour palette, stationery, and packaging applications. The identity was designed to feel distinctive and recognisable while remaining flexible enough to work across different products and packaging formats.

Challenge
Creating a Premium Identity Without Losing Its Indian Character
The challenge was to translate the idea of a traditional Indian sweet brand into a visual language that felt premium, contemporary, and distinctive.
The brief called for modern-day royalty rather than a conventional or overly traditional aesthetic, with pastel colours and royal-inspired patterns forming an important part of the direction. At the same time, the identity needed to avoid familiar visual clichés such as animal and bird motifs.
The process therefore began with exploring different lettering styles, monograms, symbols, and compositions to find a direction that could balance heritage, elegance, and contemporary appeal.

My
Role
I was responsible for designing the visual identity and packaging system for Naaivedh, working under the supervision of my Design Lead throughout the project.
I explored multiple logo and monogram directions, developed the selected identity, and iterated on the designs based on feedback from my Design Lead. Once the core direction was established, I developed the supporting visual language, including the colour palette, pattern system, logo variations, and brand applications.
I also designed packaging applications across multiple formats, adapting the identity to celebration boxes, bags, pouches, tubs, containers, and other product touchpoints. Throughout the process, I refined the work through design reviews and feedback to create a consistent visual system that could work across the brand.
